A Chinese Soldier
This soldier was assigned to a European traveler, Edwin Dingle, who traversed much of China, Tibet and Mongolia in the early 1900s. Dingle wrote ACROSS CHINA ON FOOT in which he described the state of the country. Thanks to his descriptions and photographs many vignettes of this bygone era have been preserved.
